EtonHouse is seeking a dynamic, resilient, and experienced Senior Manager, IT Infrastructure to be stationed in Thailand. This role will be responsible for leading infrastructure planning, operations, service management, cybersecurity readiness, vendor management, and infrastructure improvement initiatives across Thailand and other global locations as required.
Although the role is based in Thailand and compensated according to Thailand local salary standards, the successful candidate will be expected to support infrastructure-level planning, implementation, and advisory work across the wider EtonHouse Group, including regional and international schools where needed.
The ideal candidate should have strong technical infrastructure experience, proven project management capability, excellent vendor management skills, and the ability to work effectively with school leaders, corporate teams, and senior management across different countries and cultures.
Job Description
IT Infrastructure Strategy and Planning
Develop, recommend, and implement IT infrastructure strategies, systems, standards, and policies that support the business objectives of the EtonHouse Group.
Lead infrastructure planning for Thailand-based operations, while also supporting regional and global infrastructure initiatives across the Group where required.
Assess existing technology infrastructure across schools and offices, identify gaps or risks, and propose practical, scalable, and cost-effective improvement plans.
Work closely with the Executive Director and relevant stakeholders to align infrastructure initiatives with business growth, operational needs, cybersecurity requirements, and school-level service expectations.
Keep up to date with emerging technology trends and recommend suitable developments or improvements in areas such as cloud infrastructure, network modernisation, cybersecurity, IT service management, disaster recovery, and digital workplace tools.
Infrastructure Operations and Service Management
Oversee the design, implementation, operation, and support of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, cloud services, endpoint environments, collaboration tools, backup systems, and related technologies.
Ensure reliable and secure IT operations across schools and offices, with a strong focus on service availability, performance, scalability, and user experience.
Drive operational excellence by establishing clear processes, service standards, documentation, escalation procedures, and performance metrics.
Ensure IT infrastructure supports the day-to-day needs of academic, administrative, and corporate users across a diverse and multi-location environment.
Provide oversight for helpdesk support, infrastructure engineering, technical architecture, infrastructure operations, service management, information security, and disaster recovery planning.
Cybersecurity, Risk, and Compliance
Develop, maintain, and improve preventive cybersecurity risk-mitigation measures across IT infrastructure and systems.
Monitor and assess cybersecurity threats affecting the confidentiality, integrity, availability, and privacy of systems and data.
Work with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure that infrastructure security controls are implemented effectively.
Support IT audit, risk management, compliance reviews, and remediation activities.
Ensure that IT systems, data, and infrastructure practices comply with relevant organisational policies, regulatory requirements, and audit expectations.
Budget, Vendor, and Project Management
Plan, manage, and monitor infrastructure-related budgets to ensure cost-effective use of technology resources.
Evaluate technology solutions, vendor proposals, and infrastructure investments to ensure they meet business needs and provide value to the Group.
Manage vendors, service providers, and implementation partners to ensure timely delivery, quality outcomes, cost control, and adherence to agreed service levels.
Lead infrastructure projects from planning through implementation, including requirements gathering, solution design, project coordination, stakeholder communication, risk management, and post-implementation review.
Support cross-border infrastructure projects where required, including coordination with schools, corporate offices, vendors, and technical teams in different countries.
Leadership and Stakeholder Management
Lead, guide, and support the IT Infrastructure team to deliver reliable, secure, and efficient technology services.
Provide coaching, direction, and performance support to IT specialists and technical staff.
Collaborate effectively with Principals, school leadership teams, corporate departments, and senior management to understand operational needs and deliver appropriate technology solutions.
Communicate technical matters clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Promote a customer-service mindset within the IT team, ensuring that schools and business users receive responsive and professional support.
Qualifications:
At least possess Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
More than 7 years of relevant IT infrastructure experience, with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.
Strong experience in infrastructure planning, network infrastructure, Microsoft technologies, cloud hosting, helpdesk operations, IT service management, infrastructure operations, and implementation projects.
Experience supporting multi-site or regional operations is highly preferred.
Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, IT risk management, data protection, disaster recovery, backup strategies, and infrastructure resilience.
Proven ability to manage vendors, negotiate service expectations, monitor delivery, and drive accountability.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities across different locations and stakeholders.
Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, planning, and problem-solving skills.
Strong organisational, written, and verbal communication skills.
High emotional intelligence, with the ability to engage, influence, and collaborate with Principals, management teams, vendors, and technical staff.
A self-starter who can work independently under pressure while maintaining a positive and professional approach.
